1) Need to recruit year -round for Volunteers.
This can be done by having monthly social club.
Get-togethers for people interested in volunteering for the parade
The sign up page online is always open.
2)Have meeting 2 weeks before so all volunteers already have an assign job before showing up on Parade day.
3) Swag fro Volunteers
4) Ultimate GOAL Volunteer Number needed (33)
4 in Sec A
2 in Section B
2 in Sec C
2 in Sec D
3 in Sec E
6 in F Lot (each assigned a 2-lane Column to line up
– with 2 extra to Check in at F Lot to give out numbers.
2 in Sec G
1 Food Truck Check in 4th & Washington
3 float Judges (this is separate from Staging Volunteers)
2 Barricade volunteers 9th & Jefferson
2 Barricade volunteers at 7th and Madison
2 at upper small parking lot entrance
5) Looking to see if HP or Xerox would want to donate a printer we can have and use each year,
Could save us over $600 if we had our own Laser printer.
6) Since we have a Volunteer sign up page, we can offer a perk to Entries, that if they want their groups own sign page, I can easily make them one it would be like www.StPatsDayParade\Rumble-Around-The-Lake or www.StPatsDayParade\APL …etc (these are not real pages)
7) Upper Horace Mann parking lot needs more than the construction barrels. People move them, run them over…etc..We put a Ford F-150 there last year…I put my Jeep Patriot there this year. People angry, cuss, and yell at volunteers there.
Need sign saying “Cars Towed at Owner’s expense”
8) PARKING!!
What about contacting SMTD, or Airport Shuttle busses, or even the party bus….and see if we can get extra parking at the fairgrounds…and we shuttle people back and forth. Or Parking at Springfield High School they can charge to make money…and shuttle them to the parade. Same with the State parking lots that are around. Permission to use..but have shuttles.
9) Need to analyze the parade from the sources that took video of entire parade.
Compare order in parade vs what was on the sheet.
10) Walkie Talkies
The walkie talkies can only reach able 3 blocks. So they can’t be used for communicating the entire parade. But they CAN be used for the Section F and upper Horace Mann lot.
The people working that area can talk to each other to better control and stage that lot.
11) I have 2027 Global view Spreadsheet started wit the 14 Section A members.
We need contact names and email for those groups that do not register or pay.
